Traditional Scenic Art for Theatre

Danny La Rue, 1978. First job, first year. Woolloomooloo wharf with mum & dad (MARTIN/SIMCOX).

SCENIC ART

With Scenic artist/designer parents, I grew up backstage and in many of Sydney's scenic workshops.  My love of the artform started early and I was allowed to officially begin paid work at 12 with Trowell and Balcombe in Glebe. (Mum is keen for me to point out this was not child labour, rather an abnormal level of interest on my part).
